…and now begins the absolute worst part of the writing process for me. Waiting for editorial feedback on my manuscript. Most of the time, these days, nobody on earth has read my book before I turn it in to my editor for its first ever read. It never fails to surprise me how often I’m entirely unsure of whether or not a book works or not.

This book is no exception. I love every word of it up to about the last thirty pages. But I’m completely stymied by the end of this book. I couldn’t begin to tell you whether it works or not. THIS is why a good editor is worth his or her weight in gold. The extraordinary Patience Bloom will most certainly let me know if the ending I just gave her sucks rocks or is literary genius.

At any rate, time will tell.
