Where’s the Hook Trope Book?
Howdy gang!
Just wanted to give you a quick update on the 4th romance trope book. I got sidetracked two months ago by a producer asking me to develop a project for novel and TV/film that I just couldn’t say no to.
I then spent a week in Seattle at the Pacific Northwest Writers Association conference teaching master classes on tropes and other fun stuff, taking classes, and being wildly inspired by getting to hang out with other writers…and then I brought home a case of Covid that knocked me out for all of last week.
To top off the fun, hubby had minor heart surgery two days ago that went well and he’s recovering just fine. But still. Distracting, much?
The good news is I’m about seven days of writing from done drafting the 4th romance trope book on Hook Tropes. As soon as I finish, the last tropes will go out to my editor, and then I’ll race to get the book formatted and published. The ebook on all e-retail platforms and print version on Amazon will be ready first and the print book on the other major e-retail platforms will take a week or two longer.
In the meantime, my volume of universal thriller tropes (the first of 8 volumes of thriller tropes–kill me now) is published and live on all the major e-retail platforms.
If you write any kind of suspense into your stories, you might want to check it out. The 40 tropes in it are universal to all types of thrillers and suspense stories and will lay out a terrific PLOT for your romantic suspense, sci-fi/fantasy suspense tales, action adventure stories, and any other story that has a suspenseful element in it.
I promise, I’m working as fast as I can to finish up this volume on tropes and move on to the next one. So glad to have this update! Sounds like a hectic several months, but glad everything sounds like it’s all working out now. I can’t wait to get this book. And for the next series I would love to buy: the three volumes of sub-genre specific romance tropes (especially paranormal/fantasy romance but also spicy and rom-coms, so all of them? haha). So that’s my vote! I bought all 4 tropoholic guides available so far (including the thriller one because every story has suspense), and I plan to buy more when the next romance trope books come out! Thank you for these incredible resources.
